From 28 to 31 August 2025, Murska Sobota will host the international special-shape balloon festival – Sobota Balonfest! Over 30 unique balloons from ten countries will paint the skies over Pomurje with magical shapes like chefs, frog princes, spaceships, and more.

Friday's highlight: Dinner among balloons! In collaboration with the Styrian Culinary House, you’ll enjoy a multi-course local gourmet dinner served in an elegant tent surrounded by glowing hot air balloons.

A rich children’s program, puppet shows, creative workshops and performances by beloved entertainers (Ribič Pepe, Romana Kranjčan, magician Jole Cole, and more), an adrenaline-filled Air Show, an exciting Car Show, water sports activities, and a performance by the world-famous acrobatic group Dunking Devils – all this awaits you at Lake Soboško!
